The bottom line is that small and medium sized businesses have completely missed the value the Internet can and should be bringing to their businesses. Whereas conventional advertising can cost thousands of dollars and only provide a minimal return, advertising on the web can be done for a fraction of the cost and open whole new market segments to local businesses.

I have been in the tech field (programming, databases, web development, software testing, etc.) and business management arena for over twenty years.
