SEO4SMB.com – Who We Are

Search Engine Optimization for Small and Medium Size Businesses (SEO4SMB) is the result of studies I have done in support of my graduate thesis to complete my MBA (emphasis in management).

I am a geek at heart, and have enjoyed developing applications and websites for many years. Naturally, I was inclined to write about the business aspects of the Internet (my first Masters Degree is in Information Systems Engineering). In addition to being a little geeky, I have a passion for business and have always possessed an entrepreneurial spirit. As I began to delve into the use of SEO techniques to support small businesses, I was utterly stunned to find the extreme degree to which the Internet has not been used to promote small and medium sized businesses. I have several concepts as to why this is, but you’ll have to wait until I finish my thesis to find out.

The bottom line is that small and medium sized businesses have completely missed the value the Internet can and should be bringing to their businesses. Whereas conventional advertising can cost thousands of dollars and only provide a minimal return, advertising on the web can be done for a fraction of the cost and open whole new market segments to local businesses.

I have been in the tech field (programming, databases, web development, software testing, etc.) and business management arena for over thirteen years. I also have a whole slew of education to support my practical knowledge of these fields. I am currently focusing my work in the following areas: Tucson, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Prescott, Tombstone, Bisbee, and Sierra Vista Arizona; Las Cruces, New Mexico.

My desire is to help you extend the reach of your business to the Internet community and in the process increase your earnings. Additionally, it is my hope to get to know you a little better and shed some light on the mystery of the Internet.
